Very good federal return, not so good state return

The rating would be higher if I only considered the federal return. The federal return was very good and e-filed without any problem. The state return was not so good. E-filing was an issue and I ended up having to file by mail, which presented other issues.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Fast
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Gets the job done. No recent experience with anything else (our taxes are too complicated for some services and I won't put all my stuff onto the Internet). Block seems to be doing a better job with rooting out the bugs and the navigation issues that have been seen in past versions.
I DO wish the Help function didn't inhabit the front of my screen even if I move to another application. At least it's a modal dialog box. Sometimes I just want Help out of the way while I'm working on other things.

Great program, except for the end. The confusion between the IP PIN, and the 'enter any 5 digit number' is VERY confusing. Nowhere did it tell where to enter the IP PIN BEFORE you can file. Was very frustrating. I have used this software for years. Cannot remember having this problem

A lot of the functionality is pretty useful, but as a new landlord the rental income related features are pretty useless because they don't explain even very basic things like how to input property taxes or interest payments on the rental. This is despite this version of the software claiming to handle these things.
Pros: Fast
Cons: Time consuming, Doesn't maximize refund, Hard to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The software has a glitch that does not allow you to refile your taxes when if was rejected by the IRS. Support team could not help and hard to talk to a human.
