Lacks basic features

I have used hr block for taxes for over 20 years. For 2025 they no longer supported 1099 import. This resulted in 4 hours of my time to manually load data. I WILL NOT it the product again and do not recommend it.
Cons: Hard to prepare, Hard to import documents
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I purchase this every year since you were Evergreen Software (long time ago) and been a faithful user of this tax prep solution. There are some things I don't care for like more detailed explanations and no way to reach support via the program. I had to google your phone support line then 2x got on permanent hold. The automated interface is very limited and that tool becomes useless. On calling I FINALLY got a real person and my issue was quickly resolved.
Pros: Easy to import documents, Fast
I would recommend this to a friend!

I don’t like your software. I used it because TurboTax change their system requirement to needing Windows 11. Your software did not handle a 1099-Q or a 1098-T and could not be used for my kids’ taxes. Basically a waste of money. Now I have to pay someone else to do it for my kids’ taxes. Would have been been happier if I bought a laptop (with Windows 11) and used TurboTax.
Cons: Time consuming, Doesn't maximize refund, Hard to prepare, Hard to import documents

I used H&R Block software for 20+ years until my older computer could not download the product in tax year 2023. With a new computer in 2025, I was anticipating a satisfactory 2025 tax season using the Premium edition.
Well, the 2025 experience was far less comfortable than what I recalled with the old software or even compared to the .com service I used for the past 2 years. In particular, the H&R Block.com service in ‘23 & ‘24 tax years seemed to handle rental income much more comfortably than did the ‘25 tax years seemed software.
I’ll likely shop around next year.
