Strange that he HRB offices are able to do returns, but I have to wait for updates until February 27.

Would rather have done the online version as it’s much more friendly than the downloaded software. The questions regarding dependents for child care were very confusing

I have been using the H&R Block software for over 20 years and never had an issue until this year. I was ready to file our taxes and got an error saying the IRS wasn't ready to start accepting depreciation worksheets, and after doing some research, that wasn't true. Apparently there was a software issue wit H&R Block and it took weeks to fix it. I might switch to Turbo Tax next year.

Cons: Time consuming

Quality has declined as has the competition over the years. For both Fed and State (especially), more and more forms have to be accessed directly from the source sites. At this rate, it is likely this will be my last year using consumer software as I'll either go to professional or pull the forms myself. I know how to use a calculator I think....
