I have been an H&R Block taxfiler for a decade, and the software has consistently met 98% of my needs. Before Block, twice the complexity or ambiguity of a tax form caused me to hire an accountant, with fees that approached four figures. The low cost, structured interview, and integrated computations performed by H&R Block products are major improvements. My only regret is that each year I have one of two minor problems applying the tax preparation software to elements of my fairly complex return. Either Block directs me to make my own computation or the interview is unclear to the point of being misleading or the accuracy review fails to catch an input error. Perhaps the AI feature will someday save my skin, but it's not there yet. With that quibble, I endorse and recommend Block to all.
