Problem w/RMD’s

Something in the interview process re: Required Minimum Distribution pushed me into form 5329. All of my research indicated I shouldn’t need the form. A call to H&R support couldn’t answer what happened. We did resolve the issue by deleting the form.
Issue #2
For the last 4 filings, H&R software offers an import feature for 1099INT’s. Software indicates I need a 24 digit ID number to perform the download. The number is nowhere on the 1099 as software indicates. H&R support has no answer. My bank has no answer. Even the IRS knows nothing. I don’t understand why this can’t be resolved within the last 4 now 5 filings.
