Product is good but would prefer having it on a USB Drive rather than download. It makes it easier to transfer to a new computer if needed in later years.

Glad I tried H&R Premium. For years I was a Turbo Tax user and got to compare from memory the two programs. H&R Premium was easier in most cases to use and understand than Turbo Tax. The only real issue with H&R Premium is that you can't import Barter and Exchange information if you don't use Quicken. This program needs to support importing of OID data from companies that don't offer TXF file formats.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Fast
Cons: Hard to import documents

I used to use TurboTax, but had to switch because I don't have Windows 11. Boy am I glad I did. I was able to import everything from last year as well as our brokerage accounts which made everything much easier. It was seamless.

Been using Block PC software for a number of years now. Familiar interface and workflow. Pleasant surprised Block was able to make the modifications needed for the OBBB ready for tax season. The only minor complaint I had was it took too long to have Form 8606 ready when that form didn't change from last year.

The program was easy to set up and navigate. A main competitor was a nightmare that I quickly abandoned as I couldn't even get it to download. However, (and I've heard this applies to other tax software), the inability to switch to manual entry for entry changes was frustrating. I had the most trouble with the State program and finally stopped using it as I couldn't change an automatic fill to one of my state's quirky sections. I would use this software for my federal return again, but not for the state.

I have using your software for years and years. It seems to be very complete and relatively easy to follow the flow and processing. My only wish would be able to talk with a tax advisor on questions that come up on interpreting certain details on questions that arise such as the 1099r flow questions. Not so much tax advice but better understanding.
