Good Value Tax Prep Software but Missing Form 8621

This product offers comprehensive tax preparation for all my taxable scenarios, from retirement income, investment income to small business. However, it lacked an integrated Form 8621 "Passive Foreign
Investment Company" for those of us who hold Canadian investment trusts in our taxable brokerage accounts. This probably doesn't fit the scenarios for the vast majority of taxpayers. I get it. Just goes to show how the powers that shouldn't be suck and make it difficult for the small investor. Otherwise, great product all around! Thanks!

I use this program every year - it works well for IRS, but won't properly do a New Jersey State return.
If you have stock trades the NJ reporting is different and HR Block can't seem to handle it - I wish they would fix that - then they would get 5 stars!

I really wanted this to work, but the user interface makes it far more difficult than it should be. Basic tasks like printing and e-filing are buried in non-intuitive menus, and the workflow feels outdated and confusing. Even after spending significant time navigating the software, I still ran into errors that weren’t clearly explained or easy to fix.
For business tax software, clarity and efficiency are critical—this misses both. It eventually gets the job done, but only after unnecessary frustration. Definitely needs a major UI/UX overhaul.

There was a sale and the price was attractive so I switched from Turbo Tax for a year. This is a fairly antiquated piece of software and not intuitive--it can spot errors in a form and take you to the form but you cant edit the form and it wont take you to the worksheet that informed the form. You have to figure that one out on your own. I tried to delete a form three times, but the worksheet kept putting the form back in! Surely we can do better.
Pros: Easy to import documents, Fast
Cons: Time consuming
