I have been using H&R Block tax software for several years now. Generally, the program is easy enough to follow and intuitive; except for the technical sections like "Do you have any Section xyz deductions?" How would I know?
My main frustration is with the multiple window layout and lack of zoom function. Side bar, interview section, partial Form take up a lot of screen space making it hard to read.
The Help section is basically useless; Google is much more efficient.

I did not like the way K-1 forms are handled. I got nervous when the software told me I couldn’t efile without a software update. I got nervous waiting forcthe update!!!!
Pros: Easy to prepare, Easy to import documents, Fast
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Hard to import documents

When the program has all of the data necessary to calculate earned income per Worksheet 1 of Pub 596, why does it tell me to do that manually?

I had the utmost most horrible time w/ your software this year; to put it bluntly...it was horrific. I was totally unable to download ANY updates and I was on the phone w/ a rep for 2 HOURS to try to get my completed return to get to the IRS. Just AWFUL! As a matter of fact, the stupid software is still telling me, after 3 months, that my return was never filed.
Cons: Time consuming, Doesn't maximize refund, Hard to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I trust HR Block business for my annual taxes. I can get the parts done on my time and I find that the software is easily updated and works no matter the computer I would rather use at the time-- I have access to both a windows based operating system and an apple based operating system. My time is saved when I use HR Block Premium for both my personal taxes and my business taxes.

for the most part, I have no problems with this software. As in all search engines, if you don't know the correct words to put in for the search, it doesn't come up with anything. I've tried the words used on a form I received but nothing came up so I'm presuming there are no alternative words which will match. I need to know what line, what form, how much to enter and all it does is tell me to do it......in other words the exact process, step by step..........diagrams always help because at least I know I have the right form.

I bought the business Premium version as I have for many years. I was unable to get the Business software to install. The state software wouldn't allow me to file electronically because I had a septic credit. Federal software was good.
