Software actually failed to file with the state of Wisconsin and I had to manually enter everything on the states WisTax to actually file my taxes on time. I called support and they basically told me to mail the return in.

I have used this software for years, and this is the first year I have had issues. As a small business owner, I used the Premium software, and needed to adjust some forms manually, as a result of an audit last year. Unfortunately, the system did not allow me to adjust the appropriate forms. After 7 hour + calls with varying levels of support (phone support agents were amazing) and 2 rude emails from the escalation team (that astounded the phone agents for their lack of understanding), I wound up having to fill out forms manually and file on paper.
I understand my tax situation is a bit different from most people, but the software should work for the user, not against them.
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Time consuming
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Issue starting with your railroad approach .. one step and then the next. Totally worthless for all but simplest returns. Then I found the fill in the blanks format, that worked fine. Totally wasted hours of time on the railroad approach. Suggest you offer alternatives at the start.
