FALSE Error message prevented electronic filing

I could not file CA state online because it asked me to complete a 1099-Misc. I have no 1099-MISC. The form was auto generated. The error asked me to complete a the state in item 17 on a totally empty form. I deleted the form and yet the error forced me to to mail a printed return.
Disappointing!!!

Did what I needed. Not all information is illustrated. The new benefit for seniors over age 65 was not explained or even mentioned in the software. All new changes should be illustrated.

Software was ok, although I was unable to file using it until receiving an update in April! (Could have been due to IRS?) However, I was promised 5 installations of the software but only got two before being told I had exceeded my allowance. Very disappointing and inconvenient!

I had to toss the Business one and buy TurboTax because it would not let me enter my own depreciation valuations. On the personal side, filing got delayed until April because of some weird issue with K-1s that kept saying "wait for update to file"
Also, especially the Business one - ancient code and doesn't resize for current large monitors with high resolution.
