Too many calculation errors and incorrect carrying from federal to state returns (Kentucky). Now I have to file amended returns, but I will do them manually. No faith in a program where I have to double check every line.
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare

Love using this program. Been using this software for 15 years. It is very easy to use, there are helps every step of the way, ensures you'll be queried so you get the most out of tax filing and you can submit electronically.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Fast

Not happy with your H& R Premium program. I save the returns but if I need to go back to change information there’s nothing there and I need to input it all on again. Now I already transmitted a return and IRS has already accepted it but not it shows I haven’t filed it yet and I filed and paid the state. It’s one screwed up program I’ll think twice next year about this program .
Already lost one return I did and it’s not showing at all that it was filed.

8949 issues

I started with Deluxe. Put in 27 crypto transactions and viewed the 8949 form. 26 of these transactions were short term and reported to the IRS. First page had transactions had 1-11 second page 15-26. Transactions 12-14 and 27 totally missing. 1099DA was fine but it’s the 8949 that gets filed with my taxes. Not good QA!

I had many issues with the Business software. It kept corrupting the return and I had to start over 3 times. It was because a few forms for California were not yet available it would hang. I think this corrupted the files. I always have to open last file. If I simply choose the return from the list it crashes.
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to import documents

Extremely difficult to use and understand. The software generates many warnings and errors without meaningful explanations. The software should issue errors and warning as soon as any incorrect/incompatible data that would later lead to those errors and warnings are entered, instead of issuing a dozen of errors/warning when the client enters the filing section of the software and without any meaningful/helpful assistance/explanations.
Cons: Hard to prepare
