Have been using the basic version at home by downloading the software. At 73 not much need for more. No state required for me. For the price, with a decent discount always offered, it's worth every penny. No cloud servers having my info. Everything is on a local PC and is secured once completed and filed. E-file 5x no charge with one small purchase.

Have used H and R Block for numerous years. Like the ability, of being able to import previous year to save time. My only recommendation, is that being able to file the state tax, should be included in the basic software. I am forced to go to the state website and get it for free there.

I thought it was an all inclusive state and federal, I had to buy the state then yet pay another charge. Only to have my state reject the e-file. Instructions dont work. Return says pending in program but I got email stating it was rejected. Help topics suck. Also had to wait over a week for an update to be done that would allow me to file, error message said the form was not approved by IRS yet. Then why sell the program. I will NEVER BUY AGAIN.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
