I have used this software for several years and it has been excellent. However the 2025 version has glitches and it kept changing several entries spontaneously. The only way I would know something had changed was my refund/amount owed total would suddenly change for no apparent reason. Dividend amounts reported changed, tax withholding amounts for a pension changed, etc. —-Very strange. I finally got through everything including accuracy verification with nothing changing and filed it electronically immediately. It took multiple attempts to get through the software before I could send it.
Pros: Easy to import documents
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Basic package works great for my simple return

The estimated tax refund feature turned out to be right on, and that spurred me to buy the software and file early. Although there were some changes in the "process" on filling in date and saving the files from previous years and I needed a little help from an agent it all worked out great.
Pros: Easy to import documents
Cons: Time consuming, Doesn't maximize refund, Hard to prepare, Hard to import documents

I don't see where H&R Block tax software has added any real improvement over the years when I've purchased it. It doesn't seem much better than a version from 10 years ago. The only difference is that they've continued to increase the price. I wish that they would finally make the software more modern looking. For instance, after all this time they still haven't made it so that the cursor will automatically go to the section that is next to fill in.

Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare
