Excellent software!

I've used H&R Block tax returns for years. I struggle with my daily computer challenges but the software provided by H&R Block makes tax preparation a breeze. I'd never even consider going anywhere else.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents, Fast
I would recommend this to a friend!

I've loved the program for a long time.
This year's version is VERY SLOW, especially when I open the program. It can take 1-2 minutes to open. Previously, it took 5-10 seconds.
AND, when I filed my return, it got stuck on screen when I sent the return. Like I hadn't sent it but I did.
Hmmm.. Something not quite so good this year.

Printing Problems

The program will not print a “copy for filing” of Form 8949 that matches what I see on my computer screen of the same form. My computer screen of Form 8949 shows a listing of 14 items transferred from the Capital Gains Worksheet. When I print the Form, it prints only 11 of the 14 entries. The 3 entries do not show up anyplace else on the Form 8949. However the “Total $s”shown at the bottom of the does include the Gains/Losses of the 3 items that are missing. I have talked to H&R Reps, Case #26873413, at which time my problem was going to be elevated. As of today, 2/20/2026, I have not heard anything.
Pros: Easy to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Very easy software!

This year's software was very easy to use. With all the changes that took place in congress last year the software writers incorporated those changes into this year's program.
