Absolutely worth it for the price

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Fast delivery. Sound is good enough for the price. For home theatre its 10 of 10. Balanced sound. No need to reduce the volume when sound effects starts. Overall from experience i have with other brands ( much more expensive) the is the best one.

True cinema in my basement

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After I bought Apollo P40 and setup my cinema room in basement, for quite a while I used only a Bluetooth speaker Anker Soundcore 3 (which is pretty good anyway - producing really nice sound).
A few month ago I started looking into having some surround system to have more cinema feeling but they were all insanely expensive. And then Poseidon D80 had its premiere, I watched a few YouTube reviews and read a few reviews from e.g. Amazon or this page but there were still very little of them - you can also read on like Reddit forums that what Ultimea does is not something of good quality - I already had Apollo P40 projector which amazed me really so I gave it a shot. When I opened a box I felt it is of a highest quality product, packed with some kind of foam, ultra safe, metal speakers, wonderful, simple design.
I really wanted to connect projector with HDMI connection to have the best surround option while Apollo P40 had only single HDMI port... but Poseidon D80 can handle audio/video splitting, it has 2 HDMI ports, you connect the source to one of them and the projector to another and it works, it really does! :D I thought about some other options to buy a splitter and that saved me some money. So I connected the source with 2m HDMI cable, then projector with 12m HDMI cable (the best cables I could find with HDMI 2.1 support), then I replaced the surround speakers cables with 7,5m and used 6m cables for rear speakers - that way I could hide the cables from view - and also setup rear speakers correctly. I don't experience any delays or something, it all just works :) As you can see from the pictures I placed surround speakers differently and I really recommend doing it that way - soundbar is louder than surround and rear speakers and if you put them next to it you won't get real surround feeling. This way we could experience slamming the door in The Red One movie like it was really on our left side :) We also played games - and if have Windows and lack sound in some older ones you need to change the sound settings to use "Windows Sonic for Headphones", I don't know why but it works, I spent some time searching why I don't have any sound in games and it is apparently a common issue with 5.1 or 7.1 audio systems (not connected to Poseidon D80 directly). When choosing the Poseidon D80 I also looked into the option of setting up everything with the app and equalized but I only used it twice - the profiles Ultimea setup on the pilot are really enough and easier to use - so I only switch between Movies, Music and Games :)

There is one thing I do not recommend about this set and it is Bluetooth connection - I checked it with some videos and rear speaker were producing farting sounds. It does not occur in any way with cable connection and as you can see you can use pretty long cables - so have this in mind :) Maybe Ultimea will fix it in some updates but right now it is as it is ;) Example video I used is YouTube "AURORA - When the Dark Dresses Lightly (Live) | CURVED | Amazon Music" - it sounds amazing with cable connection and Music profile but no with Bluetooth connection.

Great sound great value

I've been looking into dolby atmos for a while now. Mainly on how it functions.ive tested this system with a dolby atmos test video. The d80 recognises the dolby atmos signal. However the front surround and rear produce from the same signal wether it be rear or forward. I feel it's not processing the signal accurately

Best Sound System Ever

I had little to no problems integrating the sound system with theTV, DVD or other streaming devices. The sound quality's the best ever and the apps very powerful for customization and most important software updates. The speakers integrate nicely to stands. I was impressed how the system was packaged for delivery and doubled boxed and cords all labeled and plugs color coded.. Shipping was fast and the sound quality is just great. I am a happy customer and highly recommend this sound system. It's just a GREAT product!

A Brilliant and Effective Dolby Atmos Sound System

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Poseidon D80 is a great 7.1 Dolby Atmos sound system with crystal clear audio.
The bass is heavy and tangible and even at a low level it’s effective.
Speech is super clear even with complex and full sound effects playing. A great example is Star Wars Skelton Crew on Disney+ which was a joy to listen to and brought you in to the action. A great workout for the bass too.
Testing with Dolby Atmos test videos from YouTube shows it does a fair job of simulating height to a small degree but will never be as effective as ceiling speakers or upfiring surround speakers.
Testing audio using the EQ in the app generally shows the system to hold its own without losing too much quality at the top ends.
Quality of the speakers is excellent for the price and better than I was expecting. A very comprehensive remote is provided that covers almost everything you need.
In summary I would venture this would compete with some higher end Dolby Atmos system at many times the cost so would highly recommend.

I decided to replace my 15-year-old Home Theatre in a Box 5.1 system that was limited to digital optical audio and had wires running all over the place, including through our crawl space and in and out of holes I had drilled through the floor. I wanted something with a center speaker that would fit on the base of the TV stand on which our new 65-inch TV sits. After looking at various options, and reading/watching various reviews, I was about to buy the Poseiden D60. However, when I decided to look at the Ultimea website, I discovered the D80 that was supposedly not yet released. Just for fun, I decided to check a well-known online retailer named after a jungle, Much to my pleasant surprise, it was available, and at a great price. I placed the order and it arrived a few days later. I figured, let's try it, if it is not any good, I can return it. The whole thing took about 1/2 hour to set up. I powered it on, turned on my TV, the TV discovered the system using eARC, and it just worked! I set up the app, which easily discovered the D80, and that just worked as well! As for the sound...WOW! It is way more immersive than my old system and more than loud enough for our living room. I really like that I can put the subwoofer at the back of the room, instead of the front as I had to on my old system. I quickly disconnected the old system (pulling the surround speaker wires back through the floor). My biggest issue is now having to figure out what to put in the place of the old amplifier/receiver.
