Not what I had hoped for

I bought this a few weeks ago and have had nothing but troubles. Every time I let off the trigger while using the Turbo or 15 degree nozzle the unit shuts off and I have to hit the reset button, remove the nozzle and run water through without the motor(because it will not engage) for a few minutes, then I turn it on and it starts up. It also will not run with soap(diluted to mfg specs) I had to drain it and flush it completely. It does okay with the green and white nozzles if thats what you want but no hard work. I would strongly recommend you purchase another brand
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Thank you for sharing your experience—we’re sorry to hear you’ve been having trouble with your pressure washer, especially so soon after purchase. That’s certainly not the kind of performance we aim to deliver, and we appreciate the opportunity to help.

Based on your description, it sounds like there may be an issue with the 15° or Turbo nozzle. These nozzles can occasionally become clogged or partially obstructed, which may cause the unit to shut off unexpectedly or fail to engage properly.

We recommend the following steps:

Remove and thoroughly clean the 15° and Turbo nozzles, flushing both with clean water to ensure there’s no debris.

Inspect the inlet and nozzle tips for buildup or internal blockage.

If the issue persists after cleaning, we suggest using a thin wire or nozzle cleaning tool to carefully clear any remaining obstruction.

As for the soap function, it's important that the soap nozzle (black) is used when applying detergent, as other nozzles restrict water flow and won’t trigger the siphon. We're glad to hear the green and white nozzles are working, but your unit should absolutely be able to handle more than just light-duty tasks.

If the problem continues after cleaning, please don’t hesitate to contact us directly at 1-888-909-6757 or via chat on our website. We’d like to take a closer look and help you resolve this.

Thank you again for your feedback—and for giving Greenworks a try.

Critical information NOT provided prior to buying
on September 2, 2025

Verified Purchase:Yes
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After 15 minutes on chat to try to resolve the problem of the washer shutting off when the wand trigger is pulled, the Agent informed me that this washer needs at least 40 psi or it will not operate properly.
That critical information is not on the box or in the manual - anywhere. It's not even listed in the troubleshooting section.
That is kinda very important to know BEFORE I purchased it. I doubt I'm the only customer blindsided by that hidden requirement. When I mentioned that the Better Business Bureau would hear about that oversight, the Agent terminated the chat.
Do better, Greenworks

Hello Jday59. Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We understand how frustrating it must have been to discover the water pressure requirement only after troubleshooting, and we apologize that this important detail wasn’t clearly communicated in the packaging or manual. Your feedback is very valuable, and we’re sharing it with our product and documentation teams to help improve future clarity for customers. A pressure washer does not create its own water supply it relies on the flow and pressure coming in from your hose or water source. Here is why around 40–45 PSI (sometimes higher) is needed: Pump protection: The washer’s pump is designed to stay lubricated and cooled by a steady flow of water. If the incoming water pressure is too low, the pump can cavitate (air pockets form), which can damage seals and pistons. Consistent performance: The washer builds on the incoming water pressure. If supply pressure is below spec, the machine may sputter, shut off, or not produce the advertised cleaning power. Trigger response: When you pull the spray gun trigger, the system suddenly demands water. Adequate inlet pressure prevents stalling or the unit shutting off. Flow rate balance: Most washers are rated for a certain gallons-per-minute (GPM) intake. Without enough pressure behind the flow, the washer cannot keep up. In short: The open water source at ~45 PSI ensures the pump is fed properly, prevents overheating/damage, and allows the pressure washer to operate at its designed power. We hope you will find this information useful. Complete waste on money!!!!!!

Worked twice, after that useless. All lights operational on power cord rest unit and washer unit when plugged in. No thing happens. Complete waste on money!!!!!!

Hello Roadrunner2101. We regret learning of the difficulties you encounter with your pressure washer. Please find below a list of troubleshooting suggestions for your consideration. Clean Obstructed Nozzles: To clean the nozzles, soak all your nozzles in a half and half mixture of warm water and white vinegar. Soak all the nozzles for about an hour and then proceed to poke your nozzle cleaning tool or paper clip through the end of the nozzle hole to poke out any debris. After you have done this, rinse them with warm water. Your nozzles will now be free of any obstructions causing the unit to fail to function normally. Removing Air from The Line / Bleeding Out the Unit: Purge any excess air from the pump. Set up the unit as usual and ensure you are not using an extension cord. Remove any nozzle that may be connected at the end of the wand. Make sure that you have a green light on the GFCI on the power cord. Turn your garden hose on but leave the pressure washer turned OFF. With the pressure washer turned off, squeeze on the trigger for about 3 minutes – allowing the water to run through the unit at no pressure. In doing so, you are bleeding the unit out of any air that may be stuck in the pump. After 3 minutes, turn the unit on. If it is running, reinstall one of your clean nozzles and continue using the unit. Lastly, ensure the water source is fully opened and is at least 45PSI. There should be 10' of unrestricted garden hose between the hose connection and the unit, any kinks will prevent the flow of water going into the unit and prevent proper pressure. Please note this product has a three-year warranty from the date of purchase. If you have exhausted all troubleshooting steps and the problem persists, contact us through Live Chat on Greenworks Tools website or call 1-888-909-6757 (1-888-90WORKS). So, our experts can discuss your experience; please have your pressure washer with you along with the model and serial number to complete troubleshooting to ensure quick resolution is provided.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Works as it should. We'll see if it holds up. Only complaint is the nozzle holder needs something to hold it on as it falls out every time you move the unit.
