Great tool, needs less plastic under pressure

I bought this October 2021, used it about 4 times, then a little plastic tubular feature in the pressurized part of the housing busted open. Greenworks did great in response (after a 40 minute hold with support, being #1 in the queue the entire time), and sent me a different pressure washer via mail. That's great, and I'll give a solid 4 out of 5 stars for that support solution. I would have been fine taking it to an authorized service center too. I may have actually preferred that because I still don't know if this is a new PW or a refurbished one. It matters because mine was basically still new, but I didn't want to wait another 40 minutes minimum to call back and ask what I was getting.
In the end, the solution was satisfactory, even though I had to reassemble another PW and disassemble, pack up and schedule pickup for another. The biggest issue is that it broke so quickly. I did a lot of research, this is really the best electric PW on the market in terms of performance and I planned on this lasting. The time comes to do some work around the house and it was cut short by my latest top of the line outdoor tool and I had to wait for the replacement to come in before I could get the work done and this early season window is short. I did everything by the book for winter storage, kept it in an insulated garage (none of my beverages froze), but even if there was a little water in the housing and it froze sometime, I'd have no idea how to clear that out. Solid design for outdoor water equipment includes design for parts that may get slightly frozen. I don't think that was the case on mine, because I've used it this season already, but it's possible it was weakened, there's no way to know.
3 stars is a little harsh, but 4 is a little generous for how disappointed I am in the durability of this design. We'll see how long this next one lasts. Again, performance wise, great tool. I should also add that the gun holder is terrible. The spray gun falls out of there all the time.

Hello Sm00th101,

Thank you for the feedback! We appreciate you letting us know and we apologize for your experience. We are happy Customer Care team were able to support you with this warranty claim.
In the future, you can protect your pressure washer from winter damage by doing the following:
1. Disconnect all water connections.
2. Turn on the machine for a few seconds until the remaining water in the pump exits. Turn off immediately.
3. Do not allow high-pressure hose to become kinked.
4. Store the machine and accessories in a room that does not reach freezing temperatures.
Do not store near furnace or other sources of heat as it may dry out the pump seals. Please note, the use of a pump saver will give you better performance and increase the life of the machine.
A pump protector is liquid Anti-Freeze formulated to prolong the life of your pressure washer; the product can be found at most hardware stores.
If you cannot do the Optimum Winterizing procedure, you can still protect your pressure washer from winter damage by disconnecting all water connections. Turn on the machine for a few second, until the remaining water in the pump exits. Turn off immediately. Do not allow high-pressure hose to become kinked. Store the machine and accessories in a room that does not reach freezing temperatures.
If a pressure washer is subjected to freezing temperatures or is to be stored or left unused for ANY period longer than thirty days, the unit should be stored properly. This is called “winterizing”. The term is somewhat confusing because your storage period may or may not happen in cold temperatures or even during winter. Nevertheless, this procedure is strongly recommended to be done every time the unit may sit for longer than thirty days without being used. Whether stored inside or out, heated space or cold, winter or summer. This keeps the unit from freezing and, very importantly, it keeps water from drying out inside the pump and leaving behind very harmful deposits. These deposits will act like sandpaper in the seals the next time it is used. This also keeps any parts from rusting or oxidizing which may destroy your pump.
Again, thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us! Our Designers and Product Developers will occasionally read these review, so we really appreciate it when customers tell us what they think and share their experience with us.

Great Pressure Washer

It's a great machine. Love the design and the way everything is able to be stored so neatly. The machine is pretty quiet and works like a dream. So far we have pressure washed our 3 car driveway and a large deck and are very happy with how it worked. The only minor complaint we have is the screen washer for the hose attachment can easy fall out when the hose it not attached. We will probably order more to have on hand because without it the hose connection leaks. This is a minor inconvenience for an otherwise good product.

The power is very good and the unit is solid and easy to use. The upright storage is a plus as well. This is my second unit.

Great when the motor doesn't cut out...

I was very excited to get this new pressure washer to replace a 1500 psi unit I had.
Pros
When it works correctly, it works great! I was able to clean my concrete patio, furniture and plant pots with ease when this unit is going full throttle. Took me way less time than my old pressure washer did.
Cons
I'm not sure if it's the built in breaker on the cord or what, but I have only found two outlets around my house that let this unit run full speed. I have frequently been using it when the pressure stops. The power light is still on but there is no pressure. I have to unplug and wait a minute or so before it will start up again. And then it will stop again. It is extremely frustrating when this happens.

Hello skipbee,

Sorry to hear of this issue! This would not be considered normal. Please purge the line. Set up the unit as per usual and ensure you are not using an extension cord. Remove any nozzle that may be connected at the end of the wand. Make sure that you have a green light on the GFCI on the power cord. Turn your garden hose on but leave the pressure washer turned OFF. With the pressure washer turned off, squeeze on the trigger for about 3 minutes – allowing the water to run through the unit at no pressure. In doing so, you are bleeding the unit out of any air that may be stuck in the pump. After 3 minutes, turn the unit on. Reinstall one of your clean nozzles and continue using the unit. At this stage, if the unit shuts off when a nozzle is installed be sure to try all nozzles. A faulty nozzle may cause the unit to shut down.

Additional components to check:
• Ensure a nozzle is connected. Be sure to try all nozzles.
• Ensure that the water source is fully opened and is at least 60PSI
• Check that there is at least 10' of unrestricted garden hose between the hose connection and the unit, any kinks will prevent the flow of water from going into the unit and prevent proper pressure.
• For best results, use a 1” (25 mm) or 5/8” (16 mm) garden hose.
• Check that the water inlet is not clogged. Disconnect the garden hose, remove the filter and rinse with warm water.

If issues persist, please give us a call at 1-888-909-6757; we would be happy to look into this with you!

This pressure washer is great. It was easy to set up. My first use was to clean up patio furniture, a deck and a pergola. It was awesome. It is much easier to move around than my gas pressure washer.
