Cannot get the spray wand attached

I bought this and the connector for the spray wand doesn't appear to have the correct fitting on it to attach to the sprayer. The detergent bottle goes on just fine and has a different fitting, with slots and grooves. The wand just has the two tabs that have no notches or grooves to work with the threads. So I have no clue if it works or not.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hello AHS757,
Thank you for reaching out to us! We are sorry to hear of the experience you are having. To attach the wand to the gun handle follow the steps below.
1.Insert the male end of the wand into the female bayonet outlet firmly. 2. While pushing in the wand firmly, turn clockwise until tabs lock into place to ensure a leak-free connection.

I'm old school, so the thought of "electric" + "water" is fundamentally wrong to me. But after buying (and ultimately trashing) two "traditional" gas-powered pressure washers, the GW 1600 was recommended by a co-worker. I've had mine for 5 years and have never had a performance problem! I use it all the time: deck, patio, porch, driveway, pool deck, pool & patio furniture, washing siding & cars... if it's dirty, I'm going to pressure wash that bad boy!
Based on it's small (or "compact" as the marketing department would say) size and light weight, I was prepared to get a year, maybe two out of it and then have to regularly replace it, but the cost math was still better than dropping major $ on a heavy gas monster.
5 years + down the road with my first unit and I've gotten well more than my money's worth!
Easy to assemble and use. Since I had never used one before, it took a little experimenting with the various attachments. The turbo attachment took care of all the green on my white lattice skirting on my shed. I also used it on a small sidewalk but ordered a surface cleaner attachment which should make the rest of that job and driveway much faster. My only complaint came from my trigger finger the next day.
I friend of mine bought me this as a gift for my birthday two years ago and the sparingly used it. the motor housing broke just "Jrands" showed in his review. I called and because I don't have receipt since it was a gift I am not covered under warranty. and they don't have the motor housing to even think of buying a replacement.
this sucks.. would not recommend

Hello RAM C,
Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear that you have experienced an issue with this product and that you were unsatisfied with the customer service experience that you had. There is truly no intent to disappoint our customers, we advise our customers, to hold on to a copy of their receipt for the duration of the warranty, just in case. Receipts, serial, and model numbers are required information for all warranty claims. This information is necessary to keep an accurate record of which items and model numbers are defective and is ultimately for your safety and reduces fraudulent acts. Some stores can look up the purchase receipt, but unfortunately, this is not guaranteed so we always suggest the receipt in a safe place or to keep photos for your record in case the warranty ever needs to be addressed. Sorry to hear of this issue and are grateful for your feedback!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this pressure washer today and used it for the first time. Overall it did a very good job cleaning an inflatable water slide that my grand kids will be using this weekend. It was very easy to assemble. The only reason that I didn't give it five stars is that there are a couple of minor things that I feel could have been done to make the unit even better. The handle knobs are plastic and should have brass threaded inserts for the bolts to thread into. The spray wand should have been better supported when not in use. The unit works very well and is quiet for certain. I like the way that the motor changes whenever you quit spraying. Now that I have reached 72 years, I have begun to shift from gasoline power tools to electric tools and this particular electric tool was a pleasure to use.
