housing failure

I friend of mine bought me this as a gift for my birthday two years ago and the sparingly used it. the motor housing broke just "Jrands" showed in his review. I called and because I don't have receipt since it was a gift I am not covered under warranty. and they don't have the motor housing to even think of buying a replacement.
this sucks.. would not recommend

There is truly no intent to disappoint our customers, we advise our customers, to hold on to a copy of their receipt for the duration of the warranty, just in case. Receipts, serial, and model numbers are required information for all warranty claims. This information is necessary to keep an accurate record of which items and model numbers are defective and is ultimately for your safety and reduces fraudulent acts. Some stores can look up the purchase receipt, but unfortunately, this is not guaranteed so we always suggest the receipt in a safe place or to keep photos for your record in case the warranty ever needs to be addressed. Sorry to hear of this issue and are grateful for your feedback!

Worth it for the price!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am beyond impressed with the 1900 psi electric pressure washer! It's an absolute powerhouse when it comes to cleaning tasks. From washing my car to sprucing up my deck, this machine gets the job done with ease. The pressure output is just right for tackling various surfaces without causing damage. What I love most is its user-friendly design — setting it up was a breeze, and the controls are intuitive. The compact size makes storage a non-issue, and the hose length provides ample reach. Low quality, no support.

Have had this pressure washer about three years, every use has been a hassle getting it to work. Always the same problem, lousy pressure switch. Normally I manage to get it going by disassembling the switch and polishing the nylon shaft and inner casting with some lapping compound. Not this time, couldn't get the pressure switch to let the pump run, so I called customer service. Got what sounded like a teenaged girl who had basically no clue what I was talking about, although she does get high marks for effort. She referred me to a service center in Phoenix, but when I talked to their service tech, I was told they don't work on "consumer products, only commercial". SO..... I removed their el cheapo pressure switch and made up a manual switch on a cord that will let the pump run as it should, even though I have to hold a "dead mans" switch.
Truthfully, Greenworks couldn't give me one of their products in the future. And please Greenworks, don't bother responding with your usual lame response about how sorry you are. I already know exactly how sorry you are.

Great when it works, then it doesn't.

Bought the unit at the end of September. Used three times about 40 minutes each washing down the patio, then the pump failed (December). Expected way more from this unit.

Where is the soap unit?

Sorry but it truly sucks that you do not mention that you need an extra part for soap. That information is not on the box or in the assembly instructions. I am sorry but an attachment of the wand is dumb. You should make it clear that the soap is not mixed in a tank. My unit is assembled but unused. I want my money back!!

There is a soap suction tube on the side of the unit. To use the soap, mix it in a pale and insert the tube. Install the soap nozzle and you're ready to go. Please review the instructions below for using the soap.
1. Put the machine vertically on a flat surface.
2. Put the end of the siphon hose into a detergent container (not included).
3. Install the soap spray tip onto the wand.
4. The machine will suck detergent automatically when you use the spray gun.
NOTE: Do the instructions on the solution bottle to prepare detergent.
NOTE: Soap/detergent can only be applied with this machine when the black nozzle (75 degrees) is installed.

Cheep Parts

I bought my power washer last fall and obviously didn't use it over the winter. When I used it this spring, the hose had a leak and the turbo washer worked once. I called customer service and was on the phone for 45minutes for a supervisor to say that they are wearoutable parts and they aren't covered. That I could buy their replacement parts. Stand behind your parts GW!

We're sorry about the issues you've experience with our wearable parts. For the turbo nozzles this is an issue that you can remedy by simply cleaning the tip. First soap the nozzle in a water vinegar solution to dissolve any calcium buildup. Then you want to take the nozzle/tip cleaner pin or a similar utensil (unfolded paper clip) and rinse the nozzle under water as you clean the out the hole with the pin. Even a small bit of debris may cause issues with the turbo nozzles and should be cleaned regularly. In terms of the hose this is a considered a wearable part and is not covered under warranty. This is not just a Greenworks practise this is industry standards. Our poly-flex hose that is included with this unit is made in the USA and designed for durability and reliability. However, proper handling and storage are still necessary. Please note if you purchase a new hose or nozzle direct from us it will come with a 1-year warranty which is above industry standards:
