The mat is a bit soft and flexible for use on any carpet other than indoor-outdoor type carpet.

Staples® 45" x 53'' Chair Mat for High Pile Carpet

For the price it doesn't feel like it will hold up nearly as long as the mat it is replacing. When it was initially delivered the mat had two obvious broken spots that could be seen by the delivery person who decided to drop it off by our door without alerting us the delivery was being made. I had to call in and request a replacement which was handled courteously and quickly by Staples.

Item was delivered rolled up. I have had it laid flat for over 19 days. It will not flatten out and makes it hard to roll on.

Very practical to place under chair on wheels so as not to destroy your carpet.
