The real test of carpet mats is time. If they last a year under constant use they are high quality. I ve only used this one for a couple of weeks and it is doing fine so far.
It was economical but either my carpet is a higher pile than they recommend (I thought it was low pile) or I'm over the weight limit at 150 lbs. My chair has left many dents in the mat in just a first few weeks that keep me from moving swiftly on this mat...better than bare carpet but I wish I had purchased a more heavy duty one...and now it's too dented to return.
It' OK quality for being fairly inexpensive but it's far-and-away not the best plastic carpet-protecting chair mat I've ever bought. Give it about six months and it will start to fall apart just like the last one (similar) one that bought at Staples. I'd really like to see a mid-range mat one that holds up for a couple of years around the $30 - $55 dollar range. Your top quality mats are just too expensive at $60 - $90 a pop.
