fantastic mat for the basement office

By my computer our swivel managers chair had worn away (about 1/8" rut) and we couldn't afford new flooring for the 3 rooms. So I filled cracks (and even replaced some wood strips sanded stained and then varished the imperfections to make it level again. Then we bought this floor saver....just the right amount (a corner computer table) for our swivel 5 legged chair. Plenty of room to roll around. and nice to put my feet on the ground without worrying about splinters. I've heard the ones for carpet (abet thicker with stakes so they don't slide) also are very good.

Better To Buy The Thicker One

I just moved into a new home/office and needed to set up a desk area with chair and chair mat. My new house has deep pile carpet and I knew that the office chair would destroy it and be difficult to manuver on. So I purchased this chair mat thinking it would solve my problems no such luck. The mat refuses to stay in place although it has tines on the back to grab the carpet. As I roll over it during the day it migrates its way under the desk where it bunches up in a big wave. I then must pull it back to its original location and stand on the wave to flatten it out. This happens at least three times a day. I am contemplating getting a different brand.

I like its size that exactly fit the space. I also like its transparency that I can customize small colorful rug under it. So far no crack.

Don't bend it; it takes a while to flatten out afterwards. Great for home office.
