Not enough selection in stores

I wanted something thicker (stiffer) but there was very limited selection in any Staples store I went to so I settled for this one. It was the only one that would fit in my area. The thivker ones were all too large or the wrong shape. It works OK to protect the carpet but it's hard to roll the chair over it.

Horrible product

This mat is junk. It has several cracks in it and I purchased it less than a year ago. It's in an office with one person and she is as light as a feather and her chair is new so not sure why it keeps cracking. I realize this is the economy version but the price was still hefty. Very disappointed!

practical as well as attractive

This chair mat makes moving my chair over the carpet a breeze! It protects the carpet looks great and is actually quite soft to stand on. However I noticed that it tends to shift a little to the right over time. Not a big problem as it is easily moved back into position.

It does what it is advertised to do: let you move your chair more easily on a carpeted floor. It does that at good price.

this floor mat is saving the carpet in our family room and saving my husband's back and legs. Now his desk chair will move on the carpet. Life is better:)

Indentations Make it Hard to Move

Purchased this chair mat in February 2013 for the office. GOOD: The size covers most of the area under the desk and back far enough to reach the bookshelf. It doesn't slide around on the carpet. BAD: It quickly develops large semi-permanent indentations when a 185 lbs male is sitting in the chair. These indentations do not disappear quickly and require extra effort to move the chair from spot to spot which defeats the purpose of the mat. However it is better than trying to move the chair on the carpet.
