this product seems to be just right. We'll see how it performs in a while. seems sturdy enough to be on my carpet in a very busy office area. we are all very tall and fairly large folks here so only time will tell if this mat last. Delivery was prompt and delivery fellow was very pleasant. Purchase on line was a breeze. will buy on line again next time I need anything from staples.

Floor mat

Why do we need floor mats? You're at work sitting in your chair quickly typing away at your keyboard when suddenly you have to move your chair a few inches. You push against the carpet with your feet and your chair barely moves. Why? Because chair wheels or chair legs love to get stuck in the carpet. Luckily for us working stiffs someone invented the chair mat and this particular chair mat works great on either carpet or a hard floor. Whether you're working in an office or a warehouse this floor mat will definitely let you move your chair around when you need to.

Misleading Product title!

BUYER BEWARE! This chiar mat is NOT for high pile carpet. For a chair mat to be effective on thick carpet the mat must also be thick and the underside of mat needs cleats to keep the mat stationary. This mat bends under the weight of the chair and slides all around. I have to reposition the mat DAILY under my desk! Unfortunately I haven't found a mat through any distributor that is thick and has deep cleats that will work on thick carpet.

Chair mat seems to be protecting the laminate floor underneath. Office chair glides easily over the mat. My only complaint is that the mat does slide around a little on the floor but it isn't a big deal. Overall I am very satisfied with the chair mat and would recommend it.
