For new carpet low-pile chair mat was not idea will return it

I was suggested by Stapes CSR that low-pile chair mat would be good for my 1/2inch carpet. But it proved wrong as it was creating easy indentations on the mat that it was difficult to move once on it. The indentations created by sitting or keeping the chair seems to go away once moved though.

chair mat had scuff marks and was in the best of shape when arrived. Was not wrapped up nicely or in a box. Had to clean up the mat.

IT works great and it is large enough that I can roll around to reach different spots on my workstation. It did not come covered only bent in half and laid on my porch so I had to clean it. I would have cleaned it anyway.

Hard floor mat - perfect for my needs

I just refinished my hard wood floor and need a mat for my office chair. This mat works great. The clear design also allowed the beautiful floors to be seen.

I bought this even though the reviews were mixed. I placed it over a 3/8 inch pile carpet that is on a concrete floor. It does not develop deep divots under the wheels yet it is a bit more flexible than my former mat which I hope adds to its durability. My chair glides easily and the softer material in the mat seems to make it very quiet. It also stays put. I have yet to need to move it back into position after a few weeks of use. Very nice. Recommended.
