Got it to replace an older one that we used to have in front of our desk but on carpet. This one is very soft and not at all durable to withstand any weight on the carpet. It’s only made for hard surfaces. So be warned if you want to get something like this for anything but hard surfaces

It's a bit too soft -- chair makes indentations in the mat and then isn't able to move easily out of the "pits" it has formed so it's sort of "frozen" in place until I give it a big push.

Too flexible

It's too flexible. I weigh 215lbs and when I'm in my chair on this mat the sides come up off the carpet and stay that way sometimes becoming a trip hazard. The chair's wheels also sink into the mat somewhat making it hard to move.
