This is the second mat of the "ecomomy" type. The first lasted about seven years and performed at the level of my expectations (which are fairly high).

DELUXE AND DURABLE

Well I had an old mat from Ikea. It served the purpose until my fairly large boyfriend started sitting in my chair inside my home office and caused that mat to crack!That crack turned unto a hole. I purchased this mat. It is much more durable than the other mat and the price was great especially keeping in mind that I was able to use a $10 OFF coupon. I MOST DEFINITELY LOVE this new mat.Staples truly rock. I have told sevral other people about this mat and one of them have went out and purchased this same mat. THANKS FOR GREAT QUALITY.

Did not last long enough

Purchased this mat for my home office. Between my husband and I it received average use though not as much as a full time job. It was terrific when it first arrived but fell apart within the year. I would find pieces of hard plastic all over the floor as it broke away. I would have loved it if it had better lasting power. The grips on the bottom were also very sharp and I hurt myself more than once trying to shift the mat under the desk. Ouch!
