While this appears this will do the job the material is not terribly thick or sturdy. Even on very little carpeting the mat gets sunken in from sitting in the chair and I'm not a huge guy.

Good size grabs the carpet well but gets dented easily from the wheels of my chair. Wish it was a bit firmer in that regard.

I bought this online but I never would have bought it if I would have seen it first. It seems much too thin and the cleats are way too shallow for even my 3/4" carpet.

Disappointed with chair mat

I've been buying these chair mats for years. They wear out in about 1 1/2 years which is not unusual. The replacement I bought about a couple of months ago immediately got a groove or "pocket" where the front wheel of my office chair rests. This didn't happen in all they years I've been buying this particular model. I am very disappointed and will pursue this with Staples.

prongs into carpet not quite long enough to prevent "crawling" but nice quality and keeps the casters on my desk chair moving!

I only gave it a 3 because it didn't work. I needed something that would work on a thick carpet with a thick pad and this mat was not stiff enough.....never found one that was....built my own alternative
