Mediocre and disappointing

I purchased this product in spite of mixed reviews by others because of its mid-range price and I needed something quickly to protect new carpet but Staples was out of my first choice. Although it is intended for use on plush carpet up to 3/4" thick it moves around on the carpet in my home office. The only thing that stops it is the legs of my desk which then causes the mat to bulge up against the legs. This mat also dents badly making it sometimes difficult to roll the chair. The only reason I have not returned it a store is that I do not have time for a 40 mile round trip. In the future I will probably stay away from Staples branded products. I also had two of their "Mail Mate" shredders burn up in less than 12 months.

This mat is a great size for my big desk chair. It is not as rigid as other mats has ramped edges and provides great support for my 210 pounds plus heavy chair. The chair rolls easily and if the chair comes off the mat it ramps back on without catching on the edge of the mat. This mat is much better than the one it has replaced.

The product is excellent. It fits the area well . The sales rep took great pains to see that the product fit the measurements and sketches that I brought got the purchase. However the delivery was a disaster! I answered my doorbell to see the rolled product standing unwrapped uncovered on end with a delivery person running back to hi truck. The product was FILTHY and even hand washing twice did not protect the white pile rug which it was designed to protect. I AM A LONG TIME CUSTOMER OF STAPLES IN NEW YORK AND PALM BEACH AND AM EMBARASSED FOR THE COMPANY !!!

This mat is sturdy thick enough so the chair doesn't go thru the mat or get stuck... rolls nice. Very impressed with this mat.
