Love the mat but wasn't happy with delivery. Thought it would come wrapped as it was a gift. instead it was thrown on the front step in the snow fully exposed to weather. husband found it. disappointed as it was a gift for him.
I've had this chair mat for a few days now and am using it on 3/8" Berber carpet which is what it's designed for. With my standard 5 caster office chair the wheels sink down into the plastic creating indentations. This makes the chair hard to roll around in as you have to get out of the wheel holes first. I'm not sure of this will affect the life of the mat. I expected it to be a bit sturdier. BTW I'm a 160 lb guy. Not a heavyweight.
This mat is good quality and performs well. This mat is medium thickness (mils) and is a very good value for the price. Thanks to Staples for the ability to compare the mil thickness of different mats and free next day delivery.

After 2 weeks I ended up returning this mat and getting the 130 ml thickness mat. Only 2 weeks and already there were deep wear marks from my office chair. I am a small 125 pounds so this was surprising to me. I have regular basic carpeting no fancy pile carpet or extra padding. This mat should only be used on commercial carpets with wood/concrete directly underneath. No regular carpeting for this mat as it is not strong enough. Very disappointing and definitely learned a lesson. If there is any doubt reading the description start with the more expensive product.
The mat works great over our new carpeting. The chair rolls freely over it no problems. The mat is thick enough that it doesn't move from it position while moving the chair around. I highly recommend it.
