Does the job happy with the product - shipping could be better

I used to have a cheaper thinner mat that clearly wasn't strong enough to support the chair wheels on my medium pile carpet. The wheels would sink in and the chair would get stuck and I couldn't roll (and I only weigh 135lbs so the old mat didn't really have much work to do!). This mat is clearly much thicker and stronger and now my chair rolls smooth as if I was on a solid concrete floor - and the mat wasn't a total ripoff like some of the others I have seen online. I even tested it with my wife sitting in my lap and I could still roll very smoothly with all the extra weight - so I am very satisfied with the product getting the job done and would recommend this even for an overweight person with a medium pile carpet. The way it shipped was kinda weird and gave me problems so caution is advised. It came in NO packaging at all not even rolled up and taped into the rolled position it just mailed out to me flat as is. Found it leaning against the wall next to my front door on a rainy day. This probably has its pros and cons as I now see some users complaining about it refusing to flatten out - so by shipping this way I certainly didn't have that issue - mine was almost completely flat right away. I've only had it a couple hours now but its almost completely flat everywhere so I'm not worried about that. The problem is how dirty this thing was by shipping it that way. I had to thoroughly clean it top and bottom it was covered in black dirt and even so I missed a tiny spot and it stained my white carpet in one spot. For the value and quality of the product I would have happily given 4 or 5 starts but I knocked the rating down because it shipped dirty and scratched up a little on one corner. If I wasn't planning on replacing my carpet already I could see how this dirty thing staining the carpet could be a big issue for some people. Just be prepared to take this thing out to the driveway and hose it down & scrub it with a brush and some soap or cleaner on both sides before bringing it onto your home and definitely before putting it on a carpet. I am in an apartment so I tried to do this on my balcony with a bucket instead (have no hose up here) and it was challenging to say the least... and led me to miss a spot hence my stain. Honestly though considering how bad that other mat I had was I would absolutely order this one again. I think my first mat was even more money than this one. Just don't screw up the cleaning like I did.
Nice carpet mat. I only wish it was a little more sturdy as I weight just over 200 lbs and I need something a little more rigid to support me but it is a nice mat. Yes I would buy it again.
