starts strong but cracks with age

Although this started as a pliable adequate covering for a rough wood floor in front of my desk it began hardening and cracking within a few years. As long as you know that a rough wood surface won't stop it from sliding around and that it probably won't last too long it will do the job for a while.

Once the mat is bent or creased it apparently will never lie flat again. This is not only inconvenient it is a safety hazard.

Not paying close attention I ordered bare floor mat when I should have ordered the carpet one but it works quite well on the carpet. The computer chair glides much more easily.

I was looking for a mat for my hardwood floor and the prices vary so much. I chose this one and it works just fine. I don't really see a need to spend twice the money for something so simple in design.
