Prior floor matt lasted about 4 years and then just stared falling apart. That one was a replacement per a Lifetime Guarantee. But thought it a bit much to do that again and the new one is a few inches larger in both directions and reasonably priced.
The mat is satisfactory. However the thickness is insufficient to prevent chair wheel depressions in the mat after sitting too long before moving the chair.
We needed an additional Chair Mat. Having been very satisfied with our older Staples mat we measured our current one. This mat is about 6 inches longer. We have larger LazyBoy chairs and this works out very well.
Originally purchased a thinner chair mat (for berber carpet) it cracked in less than a few months. Purchased this one and it is still not stiff enough. It indents after sitting in for several hours and therefore chair does not role around which drives me crazy. It may also may crack over time. Looking for a much harder mat for medium pile carpet to avoid these things.
it really struggles at the top end of medium pile carpets. Slides around a lot which isn't too bad to deal with just need to recenter it every few days but the plastic itself is pretty thin resulting in the chair easily making deep divots that you cant roll out of easily and that suck the wheels back in so small location adjustments are difficult
