The adhesive is very very weak. In fact after closure you can re-open the envelope with no evidence that it has been re-opened.

These were purchased as I needed envelopes that did not require additional glue or wetting the glue to close firmly due to an allergy of a family member to ingredients in most glue. These envelopes failed miserably as none of them passed the easy close test without additional glue and wetting did not solve the problem. Poor product!

The envelopes were fine EXCEPT I grabbed a box of envelopes that were NOT security/privacy envelopes. . . . .my mistake. . . . .but I will return soon and buy an additional box of the correct style.
