I found that when you fold a standard sheet of 8 1/2 x 11 paper in thirds it fits in this envelope perfectly. I recommend these for anyone who wants to mail stuff in standard business envelopes.

These envelopes are true to size and thick enough that you won't need security envelopes. They close with adhesive protected by a paper strip; you remove the strip and close and press the envelope flap. I would like to see more adhesive here; they are easy to reopen and could I think be reopened and reclosed without damage unlike an envelope you lick to seal.
