Well the reason I bought the easy close envelopes is because I usually don't like the taste of the glue they use to seal the envelopes. You also run the risk of getting a paper cut on your tongue. This way just rip the extra paper off the seal and close the envelope and with a gentle press of the seal against the envelope and Waw La it's finished.
When my envelopes arrived I was amazed at the condition of the enclosed box which housed the envelopes. It was nearly smashed and I was very surprised that the envelopes were not totally damaged. I guess rough treatment of the package happened somewhere along they way.
These are white mailing envelopes with a self-sticking seal -- you do NOT need to lick these to close them up! The self-stick is protected by a thin paper strip. Once you are ready to mail you simply remove the protective strip from the glue and press the top seal down on the envelope. The envelopes measure 9.25 inches long by 4.125 inches wide. They are also white on the inside of the envelope. You get 100 in a box -- although I did not count them to verify the accuracy of this statement.
I bought these b/c we mail a lot of statements out and figured it would be better then having to lick these. I was wrong! They don't like to stay closed and I have to put tape on them just to make sure. I am glad I only ordered one box to try them out. I will try a different brand next time since I have nothing to compare them too.
