This mat although inexpensive is quite strong durable and carpet friendly. I liked it so much I went and purchased a second one with a third one soon to follow.

Needed to replace my husband's Staples mat that had a small crack in it. It had lasted over 7 years. Replaced it with a duplicate Staples mat. I am pleased with the quality. My mat was bought at the same time & is still holding up well.

The mat is good saves carpet. However this is at least the third one i have had. After about a year they start tp crack. I used them on very low pile carpet as directions say. On a 1 to 10 rating ill give it a 8

The mat costs less. It is too thin.

This mat is too small for use on carpet because my chair is constantly rolling off the edge of the mat. It is also too thin and cannot carry the weight of me and my chair. I am hopeful I will be permitted to return it.

I don't know if any other mat would be better--I just noticed this mat's info says to use with short commercial type carpet and I have thick pad/carpet. My chair does not roll easily. Probably my own fault for not checking the details before I purchased.
