For a heavy fellow like me (230lbs) it has developed small ruts where the chair wheels usually rest. It requires effort to move out of the rut and effort to keep it from sliding in. Shifting the mat placement has helped but now new ruts are developing. Should have bought a thicker one.

Our purchase was not this one but the one that folds in half and has handles. It makes our chair roll smoothly but the chair's wheels leave indents in the mat. It replaced a round glass table top we used before and it is easier to roll the chair on and off of the mat. We use in on carpet but it appears to be intended for wood floors.

The mat is a good thickness and works well for the space. When I ordered it online it said it would be there the next day. It took two days which is fine. What is not fine is that when I opened my front door it was just rolled up sitting there on the porch. No covering or anything so the entire thing was quite grimy and it looked like it had been thrown in the back of someone’s truck. There’s no way I could have put this directly on my carpet. I had to unroll the whole thing and wipe it down with wet towels on both sides before putting it at my desk. The size will work well and it appears sturdy but the delivery could definitely have been improved!
