A lot better than trying to roll right on the carpet but after sitting it one spot a while it does allow the casters to sink enough that it takes a little effort to move again to get it out of the "ruts" After you move then the mat will eventually flatten out again. Overall I'm happy with it. I do like the fact that it is made in USA.

The mat is too thin. The mat was bought to provide a surface for an office chair on carpet. After sitting for several minutes the chair forms indentations into the mat and is difficult to move.

perfect for a small desk

I was looking for a mat to protect my carpet. This one was the only one small enough to fit and I love it. I don't fight with my chair anymore either because it rolls much smoother on the mat than it did before.
