I have had several of these chair mats in the past. They wear out and I understand that. This one although advertised for a low pile carpet which is what I have has nibs that are too short to prevent the mat from creeping across my study floor.

I think we were advised to buy the wrong size. Chair keeps rolling off the mat. Not sure this is the right mat to use on carpet.

I bought this desk pad to use on a low pile carpet. It was delivered flat (not rolled) which was a good indicator that it was going to be sturdy since it is too stiff to be rolled. I weigh about 200 lbs yet my chair rolls smoothly and does not get stuck in dents. The mat has small raised tabs on the bottom that prevents the mat from moving around. It's perfect for my needs.
