Heavier thicker mat

I am 200 lbs and have a five roller desk chair on mid pile carpeting. My last desk mat started cracking after 2 months and I threw it away after 4 months. This new mat is thicker and heavier than the others I have seen and has not cracked in the month I have had it. I hope it lasts.

This is perfect for my husband office. It’s sturdy and stay in place. My husband is 6’7 tall and I’m very happy that we got this mat.

Wet and Dirty Chairmat

I couldn't believe the delivery method of my chairmat. A young man arrived late in the evening with an unpacked chairmat. It as unrolled and not in plastic or a box. I was under the assumption that UPS would deliver the chairmat. The unrolled mat was wet and dirty due to the elements outside (snow ice and rain). I wanted to return the chairmat and had no idea how. My son landed up cleaning the chairmat which took some time. I had a chat with the help line who ap[ologized. That was no help. I finally was given a phone number for cutomer service. There is no way I can carry this mat to the nearest Staples store. If this is the type of service one gets from purchasing on line at Staples this will be my last purchase.

Doesn’t work on high pike carpets

I got a medium pile mat which was terrible. Staples took the return without argument (good job) and up-sold me to the thicker 1" pile mat (special order). It came in less than 48 hours ( great). While I was waiting I checked the depth of the carpet and under padding and it was 3/4" at most so I figured the 1" deep pile mat would do the job well. Unfortunately the 1" mat still sags after sitting still for about 15 minutes. My 5 wheel office chair weighs about 25-30 pounds and I weigh 185 so I would have hoped it would be better. Every time I try to move an inch my chair rolls back into the original "holes" which is frustrating when I work 10-12 hours a day. It will do but was hoping for better.
