It is still sliding across the carpet which means it does not have enough grip to hold in place.

I'm very disappointed in the mat. It replaced a much harder mat that I had for several years that was cracked. This new mat is not hard and the chair casters sink into the plastic material making it very difficult to roll my chair around. The chair was purchased some time ago from Staples. I will be returning the mat to my local Staples store for a refund as soon as I can find a suitable replacement.

This one really works. Tried Bamboo and it cracked. Tried the standard plastic unit and it cracked. This model works well on the carpet and doesn't crack slip or slide.

Not for any kind of carpet

My office chair sank into the soft plastic and couldn’t roll freely. Why it’s marketed as being for “Extra Carpet” is beyond me; I can’t imagine it working on anything but hard floors Returned it the next day and Staples took it back without any hassle.

Looks nice seems sturdy but only time will tell. Gone through many other different brands in the past. I have high hopes for this one!

Thicker and better quality mat

I have been using this mat for 3 or 4 weeks now and it is much thicker than the one I replaced. Seems I have been replacing these mats which are under an office desk chair with wheels each year or sooner. They just start breaking where the wheels set because of the thick carpet padding in my office. The carpet is commercial type but the carpet company put thick pad under it to make it wear longer (for the carpet warranty). I have noticed that the wheels do not sink way down on this mat and it is easier to roll the chair around. I think this one will not break like the other mats did.
