I bought this chair mat because it was advertised for use with a medium pile carpet. Unfortunately it moves around and won't stay in place.

Plastic is too easily dented by my office chair. Too thin and cheap plastic?? Disappointed.

I must not have measured my previous mat because this is definitely smaller than the previous one that I had. It is very durable.

Not rigid as I thought it would be. Chair sinks in and takes to much effort to move the chair around. Want to return it if possible.

Carpet Chair Mat
on July 30, 2016

The mat apparently wasn't laid flat in the deliver truck since the sides were not flush with the carpet when we first put it down. We tripped over it several times but it seems to be doing better now. We still do not like it as well as the first one we purchased at Staples four years ago. Hopefully the slight bends on the edges will flatten out eventually.

Not happy with medium-pile description
on July 8, 2020

The mat itself is nice and would be perfect for a low-pile carpet. However it is described as being for a medium-pile carpet which isn't accurate. The cleats are only about 1/8 inch long. This means the chair you are using will not have enough support for the rollers which will sink deep into the mat causing too much flex. Within a couple of years the material ages and gets less flexible. This will cause the mat to crack. Was replacing a mat with the same type of cleats so speaking from experience.
