Does what it was made to do...

Even though my carpet is probably a bit thicker than this mat was made for it performs well...my chair glides well on it and it looks like it will hold up to many years of use.

Carpet too thin

I bought this mat to replace one that was too thin causing the castors on my chair to sink in and become stuck. Now I have tow mats that are too thin. They are placed on a low pile carpeting and should be able to bear the weight of my chair and myself - I am only 146/150 pounds and I have a regular office chair.. I cannot in good faith recommend this mat.

Quality remains to be seen

Haven't had this very long so it remains to be seen if it will hold up to everyday use. It does dent quite easily from the rollers but so far it's not hard to change position a little. I think the softness will keep it from cracking however. It's definitely keeping the carpet in front of my computer clear from crumbs which is mainly why I bought it.

Good chair mat but.....

It is not strong enough with the desk chair that weighs 65 Pounds and my 140 pounds added to that. There are already large dips where the wheels rest making it difficult to have the chair roll freely.

Below expectations

At first the chair moved effortlessly on mat but now after less than two weeks the castors make indentations on ithe supposedly "medium pile carpet" mat - much the mat this one was bought to replace.. The borders of the mat lay flat on the carpet . Overall it appears I should get a mat for high pile carpet although my carpet is low pile

Too Thin dents in

I was expecting this to be a sturdier material. I measured my carpet thickness and carpet and pad are medium. I have read further reviews here and elsewhere and it seems the indentations are a common theme. Looks like the mats for the Heavy carpet get the same complaint and other material is brittle and cracks over time. This is for my home office. I have decided to make my own using plywood and stick on vinyl planks. I will reuse the chair mat for my kids computer desk. My 240 pounds does not help with the dents!
