So far this mat is performing well. Our previous mat cracked in several places where chair rollers moved back and forth. This mat seems to be more flexible creating depressions if we sit for a long period of time. It remains to be seen if it will outlast tho old mat.

We bought a Staples 36 x 48 Medium Pile Carpet Chair Mat Lip

We had purchased a new 9 x 12 rag rug and didn't want it destroyed by the desk chair. We ordered Staples 36 x 48 Medium Pile Carpet Chair Mat Lip online and it was delivered as promised. The quality is good and the mat is clear and shows the design of the rug underneath. The mat has little "spikes" underneath so as not to move around under the chair. It was a good decision.

Liked the old kind better

The old thick and rigid plastic chair mats were better than these new vinyl ones. If you sit in the same place for a while the chair wheels make an indentation which stays there for a while and it's hard to keep from rolling back into that when you change position.

Perfect fit for my home office - on carpeting. Good texture not too hard to be brittle and not too soft to make it difficult to roll on.

Not very good quality

I measured the depth of my carpet with a paperclip and then ordered the chair mat for medium pile carpet. My local staples only carries low pile chair mats. So I ordered online. It came pretty fast. However the spikes in the back don't hold the carpet. Consequently the mat seems to be slowly moving around. I have to pull it back in place almost every night. Disappointed.
