This mat says it's for medium pile carpet (3/4" thick) but the cleats on the back are just small fairly flat nubs and the mat does not stay in place. I'd only used the mat for about 2 weeks and my chair wheels already have made indentations in the mat (I only weigh 135 lbs) so now it's hard to roll the chair out of the pockets. The mat isn't very thick so the edges don't lay flat and I've tripped on them.

Dents easily

I used it for only two days and my chair wheels left indentations in the surface of the mat. And I weigh less than 150#! Returning.

The mat I received is not good for 3/4" carpet/padding

Our shipment arrived the driver recognized that it was chipped/cracked (it is cold here) so he returned it to warehouse without notifying us and we had a replacement delivered the next day. I have not noticed any issues with smell as I know that was an issue with a mat we ordered several years ago. The reason I am giving this mat 2 stars is that it is supposed to be rated for 3/4"carpet pile but it is creating "pits" where the rollers are at while I am sitting at my desk. So I get "stuck" and have to use extra force to back up my chair. The mat doesn't have very deep carpet numbs on the backside and the only label was only the staples shipping label so there is no way to confirm that I got the correct mat. I measured my carpet with a paperclip before ordering this mat and it is 3/4" high carpet and pad.

I ordered the mat in-store and it was shipped to my house. It was a perfect fit for the desk and chair. The mat laid down smoothly and is very serviceable.

Previous chairmats didn't hold up--became brittle and broke. Hopeful that these mats will last for a long time.

Initially bought low pile but the wheels made divots in the mat that where tough to move chair out of. The medium is thicker and firmer and holds up to long gaming sessions. I put the medium close to desk and the low behind the medium and now can roll from desk to get stuff off the bookcase on other side of room.

the plastic still indents making it a bit difficult to move out of a location the chair has been in for a while.
