Using in home office; carpet and pad are about half-inch total; have had less than a week. A valley forms under the chair wheels when I am sitting but chair rolls easily once nudged from the valley. Depressions left by wheels bounce back soon after I get up from chair. Overall I'm quite satisfied with performance.

Carrier said it was delivered tonight but alas it is nowhere to be found!!! Oh the other two packages were there but this item-not so much. If you do have a problem such as this you're on your own if it's after 6pm. Customer service is shut down and there's no way to get in touch with the delivery service. If you want to drop $70+ on a magic chair mat that you may or may not get give this one a shot!

I just bought my second mat. I've had the first one for a year and I use it daily in my home office. It's held up great. Very durable. I know it will last for years to come. I like the beveled edge. It gives the mat a quality look and the chair rolls on and off it easily. I highly recommend this mat.

Chair sinks / divots in plastic

I work at my desk 7-9 hrs per day and purchased the matt to protect a medium pile carpet. Within the first few hours my office chair was sinking into the plastic. The entire matt also shifts with use (it has "teeth" but they are very short/dull points) and I have to rearrange the mat nearly every day. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY - instead buy a sheet of plywood and have it cut to size you need.

The product description said this product would be fine with pile carpets. It is not stiff enough - so the chair creates dents in the mat. They are not permanent but with a rolling chair you are constantly stuck in the valleys that it creates.
