Staples 45 x 53 Medium-pile Carpet Chair Mat with Lip

The product was advertised to be adequate for pile up to 3/4 inch. My carpet is only 1/2 inch and the chair wheels still sink into the mat which makes me think that the mat won't last very long.

I was replacing a mat that did not have tapered edges. I love the taper on the new mat. However I am still running over sticky tape spots that occurred when it was rolled for delivery but didn't hold. (The mat was leaning against my house standing up and curling at the bottom). My biggest problem is the large about 8 x 11" paper at the lip. I expected to pull it off in one sheet. Instead it comes off in small pieces and leaves thinner paper stuck to the mat. I don't have time to pick at this stuff!!

I have purchased many of these and they last about 2-3 years with daily use. There doesn't seem to be one that lasts longer than another. It is just a constant repurchasing every few years.

Great chair mat

I got this on sale on staples.com and their delivery service delivered it the next dat. I was not in a package or rolled up so I didn't have to battle with it to get back to its original shape. I am using this in my home office which has a thick carpet. It's been great. I couldn't be happier. My Staples Rewards credits made it an even better purchase.

I purchased the most expensive mat that was for 3/4 inch pile carpets. The mat that I received was thin and the nubs under the mat were not even 1/8 of an inch long. This mat was for a person that weighs 106 pounds and her chair leaves dimples in the plastic. I will not purchase another mat from Staples.
