We love the chair mat. It was purchased flat/hanging on a stand in the store and not rolled so we have zero issues with it staying flat. For the price it's pretty thick. But we did notice the more expensive ones were thicker. We're not applying much weight to it so we don't anticipate it cracking. Looks good!

The material of this mat is not completely rigid so my office chair wheels make dents in it that I notice when I slide my chair back and forth. That being said I don't move around much while working and I mainly bought it to protect the carpet so it is fine for my purposes and the price is reasonable.
