The Mercedes-Benz of Chair Mats

I have used many other chair mats. The Staples Extra is by far the best. It is durable thick and looks very good. I am a big person and this mat enables me to roll around my office space with ease. I've seen the rest and I bought the best. It is worth it.

Works well on thicker carpet

I have my office in my home and have thicker pile carpet in my office. I purchased this chair mat hoping it would work well with the thicker carpet. With my chair I'm putting about 200 lbs onto the mat and the wheels of my chair only sink in about 1/4". Don't know how long it will hold up but so far so good.

Great floor mat for high pile carpet

I've gone through countless less expensive chair mats over the years and this one is by far the best at several things. 1st it is thick enough that the chair rolls very nicely on it. 2nd in my application it does not creep. 3rd even though it's not a huge deal I don't miss the pointy spikes on the bottom. The ribs seems to work fine. Time will tell this is the 1st chair mat I've bought that comes flat not rolled. Hopefully that says something about the durability. Very please.

Delivery - please don't use strapping tape

Hi. I got the chair mat today and thank you for delivering it. However for the love of all that is holy please do not use cheap strapping tape to hold it together for delivery! I have spent a half hour and will probably spend many hours more trying to remove the shredded tape and sticky residue from the surface left behind by the packing tape used. Use twine or some non-sticky material to bind it up. Frustrated at the amount of time it will take for something that should have been plop into place. Without the ugh packing tape this would have been 5 stars. Sorry.

Excellent Product

The mat is excellent. As one prior review pointed out the height (53") includes the narrow portion of the mat that fits under the desk so from the desk out it is only about 44" but that is plenty big for my purposes. I would have given it 5 Stars except that it ships with no carton (the label has to be peeled off the mat) upon arrival. There was no damage to it but it had a hump the width of the mat because of the way it laid in the truck. As a result when laid the mat had a little hill but that disappeared just fine when I put a couple of heavy books on it for an hour.

I purchased two of these chairmats for a home office. Previous chairmats cracked after a relatively short time; these chairmats are much thicker than those cracked ones and I hope will last much longer. Only time will tell and I am writing this review right after receiving the chairmats.

Would never "relax" flat

Was a nice sturdy heavy mat. Did well on the high like carpet but some of the edges stayed curled even after weighing down with books. It's summer so I don't think the temp was too cold to prevent flexibility. If I had more time I might have kept at it but we returned it and will look for something else.

Good product

This was my first experience in ordering online from Staples and it couldn't have gone any better. It was easy ordering the chair mat and it delivered the day it was promised. The chair mat is very nice better than others I have purchased in the past. Working at home in a carpeted office the mat still gets indentations from the casters throughout the day but I guess that can't be helped. And it's not as bad as it was with cheaper mats.
